Nitrate Removal

Source water exceeding nitrate standards requires treatment for nitrate removal. This process is accomplished through the process of ion exchange. Selective ion exchange resin is used to remove nitrate from the source water. This process replaces nitrates with chlorides. The effectiveness of this removal process is influenced by the level of sulfates and pH.
